Nutrition: End Quarantine Diets and Start Feeling Your Best

Let’s talk about quarantine nutrition and ending dieting! Nutritionist and corporate health advisor, Lexi Abi Khattar MS, shares simple steps to put an end to dieting, creating lifelong habits to look and feel your best:

Diets are temporary solutions that usually result in rebound weight gain. Applying a combination of mindfulness and selecting foods that nourish are a great place to start. Here are some tips:

1. Chew thoroughly before swallowing (there are digestive enzymes in your saliva- so this is super important in starting the digestive process!). Savor the flavor. Repeat! Only pick up your cutlery once you’ve finished chewing.


2. Make sure to include a portion of protein at each meal. For example, a great breakfast could include a protein shake or eggs and a lean lunch may be salmon or lentils. Protein supports your lean body mass and having more lean body mass will boost your metabolism!

3. Surround your protein in colorful veggies. Choose one green and one other color (orange or purple like carrots or beets!)
